Digital Artist & Lecturer
About Me
I’m a creative media lecturer at Northern Regional College. My focus is on helping students to apply art and design principles within their games and animation projects. I’m particularly passionate about showing that anyone can create strong visuals with the right knowledge and approach. Even those who can’t draw a straight line!
Since graduating from art college, I've worked as a graphic designer and artist with indie games and media companies in and around Belfast. I'm happiest exploring the outdoors with my wife Rebekah and our two wee uns.

Current Projects
Global Point Visualisation
An external project NRC students are working on for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Level 3 Games Development students are creating 3D maps, buildings, and infrastructure for the Global Point and Houston Business Park sites, including a speculative proposal for future development (shown in red).
HND Web Design students are annotating video and still imagery with key information for developers and potential investors.
NRC Games Showreels
A series of videos to showcase the student work for Level 3 Games Development.
The first is a short promo, followed by longer showreels of student work.
The course aims to help post-GCSE students to build the creative, technical and professional skills needed to succeed in game development, tech and the wider creative industries.
Students complete generalist projects to learn core software skills in year 1. By Year 2, they can choose a more focused pathway towards art & animation, game design, or programming.

The story deals with themes of dissociation and differing perceptions of people, environments and obstacles.

Irish & NI Football Explained
BBC NI comedy wanted a viral video for the UEFA European Football Championship.
I was responsible for storyboarding and illustrations, leading a small team of students to produce an explainer-style video that reached 2.4 million views on Facebook and 116k on YouTube.
We understand that having two football teams on one small island can be a bit baffling for the uninitiated so, ahead of them both appearing at Euro, we’ve come to the rescue with this handy public information film to further confuse matters.
Paris Buns Music Video
I led storyboarding and illustration for this BBC NI comedy short, with UUB students animating. Quick turnaround of 4 days!
TIGHT SHORTS Northern Ireland National Team song before the Ukraine game anyone? A cartoon you say? Don’t mind if I do.
RETNE VR
I was a 3D environment & texture artist on this VR experience, in collaboration with Kainos.
In RETNE you are a tourist travelling through VR Land. There’s lots to see and so many things to do, but there’s a catch; it’s A DIY tour, so you have to do the hard work to visit all the magical attractions that the VR world has to offer.
E-1027
iOS App for a French tourist museum. Recreation of modernist villa by Irish architect Eileen Gray and partner Jean Badovici.
UI Design & scene optimisation.

Graphics & Branding
Cornerstone Christian Fellowship
The CCF logo incorporates visual elements that are important to this church. The corner represents Christ as He describes Himself in Mark 12:10, referencing Psalm 118. The upward arrow symbol signifies the church’s mission to point people toward the glory of the Lord. Finally, it looks like overlapping mountains, with many in this congregation inspired by the beauty of God’s creation very near to them in the Mourne Mountains.
Hamilton Honey Bee Co.
The Hamiltons were a joy to work with on developing the brand identity for their beekeeping company. A product I am a big fan of, now with a partnership in Montalto Estate.
Voices of the Silenced
Graphics for a documentary film by Core Issues Trust, supported by Christian Concern.
The documentary included animated maps and digitally painted visuals of artefacts, inscriptions, and scenes from Pompeii.
Fort Hill Integrated Primary School
Brand Identity for Fort Hill Primary in Lisburn. Accompanied by a change from grey to red uniforms. Much more cheerful!
Palace Studio
Brand Identity for Palace Studio, at the Palace Theatre London for Nick Lloyd Webber.
Black Stag Media

World Book Day Event
